Dr. Avinash Dadhich, Ph.D (UK)

Dr. Avinash Dadhich is an Indian qualified competition lawyer based out of New Delhi, India. His area of specialization lies in the fields of Competition Law and Regulation & Intellectual Property. Armed with a Ph.D in Competition Law on full scholarship from Bangor University, Wales, UK, he completed his Master of Laws (LL.M) with a focus on International and European Law from Toulouse 1 Capitole University, Toulouse in France on a full scholarship awarded by the French Government and earned his first degree in Law (LL.B) from Delhi University. He has also completed a training programme on Innovation, Technology and Successful Technology transfer and Licensing Agreement organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) at Vienna.

In April 2015, Dr. Dadhich was invited by Department of States’, USA Government to visit New York, Washington DC, Iowa City and San Francisco as Antitrust Fellow to meet senior people from Antitrust law authorities (FTC &DoJ), law firms, Supreme Court judges and business executives and Prof. Herbert Hovenkamp and Prof. Professor Bill Kovacic under International Visitor Leadership Programme (IVLP). Prior to taking this initiative, Dr. Dadhich has worked with Big 4 consultancy firms, as Manager (Competition Law) with Deloitte India LLP and Senior Consultant (Competition Law) at Ernst & Young LLP. He has advised to Competition Commission of India (CCI) on a number of high-profile investigations as Expert in Competition Law. He has also worked with Gide Loyrette Nouel LLP, Paris, France & White & Case LLP, Brussels, Belgium.

During the course of his legal, regulatory and investigative experience, he has worked with a number of corporates and other stakeholders in addressing issues pertaining to Competition Law , fraud , bribery , corruption and regulatory compliance in real estate , metal and mines , media, shipping , oil and gas , pharmaceutical , infrastructure and power sector.

As a legal scholar with a special acumen in Competition law, he has numerous publications in both national and international journals to his credit. He has also been a Visiting Scholar to various international universities of repute such as King’s College London, Max Planck Institute of IP and Competition Law, Munich, Germany and Institute of European Studies, Brussels, Belgium. Dr. Dadhich teaches competition and IP law as visiting faculty at Toulouse Law School, Toulouse, France and School of Competition Law & Regulation, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, New Delhi, India. He has delivered lectures on competition law at many Indian and international universities including, National Law School of India University Bangalore, IIT Delhi Business School, Indian Law Institute (ILI), Indian Society for International Law (ISIL), CUTS Institute of Regulation and Competition, Science Po, Toulouse, France.

Dr. Chaitra R. Beerannavar, Pavate Fellow, Department of Politics and International Studies, University of Cambridge, Senior Member, Sidney Sussex College, UK

Ms. Chaitra Beerannavar was a tenure track Faculty of Symbiosis Law School, Pune and Junior Research Fellow, Faculty of Law, Symbiosis International University, Pune. Ms. Chaitra completed her LL.B. (Merit) in 2010 under Karnataka University with Two Gold Medals for having secured First Rank at the University and completed LL.M. in Business and Corporate Law in 2012 from Symbiosis Law School, Pune, where she was awarded the "Chancellor's Gold Medal" by Symbiosis International university for standing first at LL.M. and was also honored with 'Nani Palkhiwala Gold Medal' for academic excellence by Nani Palhiwala Trust, Mumbai.

Recently she is  awarded with Ph.D. on ‘A Critical Study of Reverse Mergers  as a method of going public : A comparative Study of U.S., China and India” under the guidance of Dr. Shashikala Gurpur, Director, SLS, Pune and Dean, Faculty of Law, Symbiosis International University, Pune. Her major interest areas include Company law, Capital Market Regulations and Mergers and Acquisition Laws.

She has participated and presented papers at various National and International Conferences. . Besides, she has ten papers published to her credit and has contributed to number of academic initiatives at SLS, Pune since 2012.

Yogesh Chande is a Partner at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas specialising in Indian securities laws. He is practicing in India with over 15 years of transactional experience concentrating on structuring of mergers and acquisitions involving Indian listed companies and securities regulations governing Indian listed companies, and intermediaries registered with SEBI.

Kunal Kumbhat completed his B.Sc. LL.B.
